The oldest pub in Ontario is in Niagara on the Lake
(NOTL). The Olde Angel Inn, off Regent street where the war cenitaph
is, 1 block behind Queen street. Yellow building. Pub in front,
restaurant in the back. Excellent English pub fare and modern food.
Excellent selection of beers and other stuff. Interior is 18c quaint
with hand cut beams etc. It's a loyalist place for sure, but you're
in a Tory town so what do you expect? It was burnt in the war of 1812
and then rebuilt. It has a ghost story attached to it.
